Well, that’s 2 weeks in, getting up at 7am every morning and I`ll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future.
Keeping your waking time static and altering the time you go to sleep certainly works! After 10 days you see a pattern forming as your sleep pattern stabilises and it becomes obvious how much sleep you require, in my case 7 hours. Now if I go to sleep before midnight, I awake before my 7am alarm! Amazing for someone who liked a good few extra hours in bed at the weekend.
So, if you like a lie-in and have a tendency to feel tired when you don’t get it, you can break out of this particular vicious circle in little over a week. Give it a try, it’s well worth it.
7am on a Sunday morning? After a night on the Beer? What are the chances of that happening?
Well, I didn’t quite manage my target but I was still up before 8am, so not too bad a start. Should be easier next weekend as I’ll definately be up at 7 through the week for my daily drive to Glasgow.
A short while ago, I heard the phrase “Polyphasic Sleep” and as is my nature, off I went to find out what it was. This quickly led me to Steve Pavlina’s site , a highly informative site which I fully recommend. Hi Steve. ![]()
